McCoy Tyner joined John Coltrane, Jimmy Garrison and Elvin Jones early march; so the famous Quartet is again together to improvise and amuse themselves and us ! The italian photographer Fabio Orlando made a great photo of McCoy in 2017 and allowed me to use it for a watercolor; many thanks to Fabio . Enjoy and during the lockdown: listen to Jazz or whatever music you like .

Guerrier vêtu de blanc, il avance à mains nues, progressant en cercles concentriques, prêt à bondir, tournant sur lui-même, scandant un incompréhensible chant chamanique, comme un appel aux esprits, aux forces cosmiques, aux vivants et aux ancêtres disparus, sorcier dansant autour de l'instrument totem, avec conviction et ferveur, vers sa transe incantatoire.
Prêt au combat, il se jette sur l'énorme totem d'un noir luisant, entrailles ouvertes, laissant apparaître un enchevêtrement de marteaux et de câbles d'acier, monstre effrayant aux dents blanches et noires, dans une gigantesque bouche prête à le dévorer.
Sans peur des morsures, le sorcier frappe les dents, émettant des vibrations qui s'engouffrent dans cette bouche, dans cette gorge, dans ce ventre où les câbles d'aciers se mettent à vibrer, faisant résonner le totem de la gueule jusqu'aux pieds.
Doigts, poings, bras, coudes, percutent blanches et noires, noires et blanches, blanches, blanches, noires, noires, par grappes, blocs de blanches et noires, mains tétanisées frappant les dents, marteaux frappant les cordes, cordes prêtent à rompre, déployant leurs vibrations dans le corps entier du totem de bois, son qui enfle, grondement s'élevant des entrailles du monstre, envahissant la voûte céleste.
Pris d'une transe frénétique, le sorcier plonge dans le gosier de la bête qui l'engloutit, rugissant de plaisir, de douleur, guerrier extirpant la magie sonore du totem, libérant la matière du bois et de l'acier inanimés, leur donnant vie et esprit sonore, domptant et révélant ce monstre, ce " Bösendorfer " impérial, devant un parterre de fidèles envoutés par ces cascades torrentielles de notes, cette furieuse maestria, cette folie démesurée, cette danse du paroxysme, ces vagues déferlantes, ces 
fulgurances sauvages, devant ce conquistador du piano, Cecil Taylor.
